The Swan Valley Stampeders' MVP from last season, Myles Stevens, is about to embark on his professional career.
Stevens, who posted three straight 70-point plus seasons as a Stampeder, signed a contract with the Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League based out of Independence.
The Norway House product, who is second all time in assists for the Stampeders wth 145, might bump into several former Stampeder and MJHL alumni in the CHL.
That includes former Stampeder sniper Tyler Czuba has signed a contract with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League after finishing up his college career.
Czuba holds the record for the most goals in a single season for the Stampeders, firing home 60 in the 2005-06 campaign. He also scored 124 goals as a Stampeders, also best in team history.
Czuba hopes to follow in the footsteps of former Stampeders Dallas Anderson and Jordan Roach, both of which suited up for the Oilers.
